Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America (NGPL), a large 9,105-mile pipeline system running from the Texas Permian Basin and Gulf of Mexico into the Chicago area, is owned by Kinder Morgan/ArcLight/Brookfield and operated by Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America. Operating at more than 50% utilization, it serves utility/power and midstream sectors. Significant customers include Nicor Gas Company, Northern Indiana Public, and Sabine Pass Liquefaction. Natural's system consists of the Amarillo and Gulf Coast Lines, connecting gas producing areas to Chicago, with thirteen storage reservoirs located in Illinois, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Texas.
