Pipeline Description

Cove Point LNG, LP operates a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility located on the Chesapeake Bay in Lusby, Maryland, south of Baltimore. The facility includes an LNG plant and a 133-mile natural gas pipeline extending to Loudoun County, Virginia. Owned by BHE GT&S, LLC (a Berkshire Hathaway/Brookfield partnership), it runs at full capacity, primarily serving the midstream, power, and utilities sectors. Its major customers include Washington Gas Light Co., Virginia Power Services, and GAIL Global (USA) LNG LLC.
