09/12/2015 Chernomortransneft, JSC has conducted works on implementation of water area and pipelines mapping system An automated mobile package Water Area and Pipelines Mapping System (AMP WAPMS) is implemented at Zarechie oil transshipment depot of Chernomortransneft, JSC. It is meant for hydrological inspections of oil trunk pipeline underwater crossings over water objects and of water areas. The new equipment will allow acquiring all necessary hydrological data: planned-high-altitude position marks of a pipeline at offshore section, compilation survey of an offshore section, hydrographical (bathymetrical) survey of channel section, information on pipeline bare sections, location of underwater objects and river bed evolution monitoring. Equipment of AMP WAPMS may be placed at different watercraft. Managing all the instruments being part of this equipment is conducted by one operator using a personal computer. All components of the unit use typical accumulators with voltage of 12 volt as power sources. Using the AMP WAPMS mobile package makes it possible to conduct works much more effectively, than using traditional methods, due to cutting time for surveying. http://en.chernomor.transneft.ru/press/news/?print=1&id=29172 1/1
